  • After Thoughts...

    started the day with thanksgiving leftovers..

    went to the mall with warren to check out the black friday sales..

    decked out in my mae track jacket, i visited the c28 store, looked at a couple of christian themed rings and bracelets and decided to come back another time to the triquetra necklace.. as i left the store, the greeter smiled at me and said "have a blessed day".. i really liked that..

    did lots of window shopping.. checked out the t-mobile dash and the sidekick iii.. lord know i don't need another gadget.. but it was nice to check 'em out..

    saw a lot of nice deals at old navy.. i miss working there sometimes.. it was a really fun atmosphere.. the 30% corporate discounts to gap and banana republic were awwweesome.. i saw a pea coat at old navy i might want to pick up.. also.. as i walked through gap.. i caught the smell of something.. it was a very familiar scent.. it was something i haven't smelled in a long time.. i sniffed the air again and realized what it was that was placed at the counter that made do a double take.. it was the scent of dream.. yes.. the fragrant.. it's been a while since i'd smelled it.. almost 3 years to be exact.. but it still gets me..

    they say scent is one of the strongest senses that's tied to your memory.. and seeing that it made me think of you.. i'd have to agree..

    i ended up not buying anything.. which is probably a good thing.. the last time i made an impulse buy i ended up with almost $200 worth of video games haha..

    checked out casino royal after the mall.. wow.. it was good.. it was everything the reviews said it'd be and then some.. perfect balance of action and drama and suspense.. i highly recommend it.. oh.. vesper lyn (eva green).. simply gorgeous..

    still wanna check out borat..

    still wanna see the fountain..

    can't wait for the superman dvd to come out..

    and wow.. the previews for eragon are super cool..

    came home and got a text message from rjae.. it said that a friend from japan had died.. our friend darin.. i wasn't as close to him as he was.. but i hung out with darin a lot at the teen center.. as a matter of fact, he was one of the people that first got me on xanga.. i remember giving him a quick shout-out in my very first entry.. he was such a great guy.. he was so funny.. and you could tell he was a really caring person.. so it still kind of hit me.. i quickly checked myspace for his profile and already there were people leaving him messages of "rest in peace".. wow.. i could not believe what i was reading.. then i caught andy online to make sure if it was real.. and.. it wasn't a joke.. it wasn't a dream.. darin passed.. due to a stroke.. i think it was a complication.. after or during his surgery for his appendix.. i hadn't spoken to darin since we left japan.. but still.. i felt a little part of my past had gone away.. living overseas like that, you create bonds with people.. we were a community.. and when a part of that community passes away.. you can't help but feel effected.. he was so young.. only 22 i think.. i know he was in the same grade as jethro.. it's just not right.. and poor jason.. his older brother.. i can't even begin to imagine how he feels now.. it's just not right..

    may god bless you darin.. you will be dearly missed by all of us.. rest in peace bro..
